Plum Council Approves Paving, Sewer Work

About $1 million worth of paving and storm sewer work has been approved by Plum Council.

About $1 million worth of paving and sewer work is set to occur throughout Plum Borough this year.

Last week, council gave staff the go-ahead to begin planning for the projects, which include paving many roads in the Logans Ferry section of the borough and sewer replacement work.

Here's a look at the roads that will be paved this year. The work is expected to cost about $700,000.

Logans Ferry: Allegheny, Cliff, Dell, Dombroski, Kertis, Plum, Shady and Summit avenues; Memorial Drive; Cherry Way; and Short and Zadona streets.

Other borough roads: Clements, Center Hill and Scott (from Francis to Unity Center) roads; Anderson Lane; and Meadow Hill Drive.

Other work includes paving Oblock Road from Holiday Park to Saltsburg Road, a storm-sewer replacement on Clements Road at Halliwell Drive, work on the Repp Road landslide and the Oblock Road detention pond.

A storm-sewer replacement on Oblock Road from Great Smokey Drive to Alcan Drive most likely will be completed in-house by the public works department.
