Plum Police Handle Thefts, Burglary

Here are the Plum police reports for the week of July 16 to 23:

Burglary

  • An Anderson Avenue resident reported that a safe with money, watches, jewelry and hockey cards was stolen from her home on June 22. 
Theft
  • Kevin Antaion Cain, 22, of Plum, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property. He is accused of stealing a phone at the Exxon gas station on Route 286.
  • A Red Oak Drive resident reported someone stole $500, a wallet, gift cards and credit cards from her vehicle on July 13.
  • An Overlook Drive resident reported the theft of $200 from her purse on July 5.
DUI
  • Tracey Rae Corrie, 44, of Penn Hills, was charged with careless driving and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a May 1 incident on Universal Road.
Simple Assault
  • Jeremy Scott Mitcheltree, 26, of Plum, was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after a July 15 incident on Deborah Jane Drive.
Criminal Mischief
  • A McAllister Drive resident reported damage to a mailbox.
