Plum School District Posts Several Job Openings

The Plum Borough School District is hiring for several positions.

Teachers

• Several teaching positions are expected to open up within the district. Among them are: Elementary Education, Reading Specialist, Social Studies 7-12, Spanish 7-12, Special Education K-6, and Special Education 7-12. CLICK HERE for a list of full requirements. Interested candidates must submit a PA standard application, resume, cover letter, three references, current Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances and college transcripts by July 8.

• The district is hiring a security guard at the Plum High School. Selection will be based on applicants’ qualifications and experience. The position will begin in the 2013-14 school year (for 181 school days) at a rate of pay of $13.25 an hour with 4 personal days allotted. Experience is preferred, previous security or police experience is desired. Interested candidates should send a resume, cover letter, and current Act 34, 114, and 151 by July 12.

• Full-time custodians are needed. Previous custodial experience is desired. The hourly rate is $11.30. Interested candidates should send a resume, cover letter, and current Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances by July 12. 

• The district has immediate openings for full-time and part-time Bus Drivers.  These employees will drive district buses to safely transport students between bus stops and schools, on field trips or other designated events, as assigned.  The hourly rate is $11.83 and will include free CDL training and certification, reimbursement for ACT 34, 114 and 151 clearances and be on-call as needed.

• School Bus Aides are needed for current and anticipated openings. These employees will assist in the pick-up and delivery of students to and from school, assist the bus driver in the maintenance of discipline on the bus and perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor. Hourly rate is $8.83 per hour. Interested candidates should send a resume, cover letter, and current Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances by July 26.
