Police Safety Tip: Don't Exit Vehicle During a Traffic Stop
Oakmont Police Chief David DiSanti offers a safety tip for residents.

If you find yourself in the middle of a traffic stop, Oakmont police are asking that you remain in your vehicle.
"We've been making a lot of traffic stops where people have been getting out of their vehicles," said police Chief David DiSanti. "They're engandering themselves and the officer."
DiSanti said the best thing to do is to remain seated inside your vehicle in a position where you're visible to the officer. Never exit the car.
