Speedway Eyes Oakmont Property
Speedway, a gas station and convenience store, has submitted a proposal for land development to the Oakmont Planning Commission.
A gas station and convenience store chain has expressed some interest in developing at the former Lieberth & Sons car dealership in Oakmont Borough.
Speedway submitted a proposal for land development and conditional use for the Oakmont Planning Commission to review. The property is located along Hulton Road, across the street from Riverview High School and just before the Hulton Bridge.
The former car dealership closed in March after moving the business to Natrona Heights. Specific details about Speedway's development plans are not available yet, but the matter is expected to go before the borough planning commission on Monday, May 20, at 7 p.m.
