Tropical Storm Isaac Could Increase Plum-Oakmont Gas Prices
Oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico and refineries in the Gulf coast region could be impacted by the tropical storm.

Gas prices in the Plum-Oakmont area and around the nation most likely will increase because of Tropical Storm Isaac, which the National Hurricane Center has predicted could become a hurricane Tuesday evening.
As of Tuesday morning, Isaac was nearing Gulf Coast landfall. It is expected to hit from an area southwest of New Orleans to the edge of Florida's panhandle.

The blog GasBuddy.com reported Monday that 25 percent of the daily oil production had been shut down in the Gulf of Mexico.
