Verona Fall Festival - year 13

Details about Verona Fall Festival

The Verona Fall Festival will be here this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, September 4, 5, and 6. It is held in the Verona Railroad Park on East Railroad Avenue from 6 pm-11 pm nightly.
Ann Larkin and Linda Tamburro are the founders of the Verona Fall Festival. After attending a festival one summer, we decided that we would love to bring this to Verona. The community would love it. With the support of the Verona Borough and Chamber of Commerce, we were able to get it started. It has drawn crowds by the thousands every year during every night of the festival.
All monies raised stay locally and are donated to organizations including the Verner PTO, Verona Chamber of Commerce, Local Boy Scout Troop and several scholarships have been awarded to Riverview students over the years.
The teachers at Verner Elementary School are instrumental in the success of our festival. Several of them volunteer each year at the festival and the students love seeing them there.
The food is all homemade by Peggy Suchevich and her sisters. They have cooked for the festival all 13 years, making stuffed cabbages rolls, halushki, wonderful roast beef sandwiches and more.
There is a second food area that sells the famous walking tacos and the Conte Funnel Cakes! Dom and Sharon Conte of Verona have been making the cakes for several years and have them down to perfection!
We have been able to keep our prices affordable for rides, games and food over the years so that local families can come enjoy all three evenings. There is bingo every night.
This year we will have a DJ playing a variety of music on Thursday and Saturday. On Friday we are excited to have a local band, KATIE HATE performing. They will take the stage at 8 pm.
Lots of fun for everyone!
