World Percussion Ensemble - FIVE DAY CAMP. Monday, June 23rd through Friday June 27th. 9 a.m. to noon. Cost $120.00 Grades 6-12 - Drumming is fun! Drumming is relaxing! This class will be a week long hands on percussion ensemble class. Students will have an opportunity to perform on various world percussion instruments . They will learn proper handling, tone production, call and response, echo patterns, improvisation and basic rhythm fundamentals. The book used is “World Music Drumming, A Cross-Cultural Curriculum” by Will Schmid. Students will also have the opportunity to write their own compositions.
