1 Dead After Shooting Just Off Ridge Avenue Monday Night

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Two people were shot and one was killed after a shooting just off of Ridge Avenue in Roxborough on Monday night.

The incident occurred on the 7700 block of Matthias Street, just around the corner from the Wawa, at around 10:22 p.m., police said.

A 32-year-old man was found dead inside his Chevrolet pickup truck after being shot in the head, according to authorities.

A second victim, a 28-year-old man, was shot in the arm and the leg, police said. He is in stable condition at Einstein Hospital.

According to Action News, one of the shell casings was on the dashboard of the truck and that police believe the gunman may have been in the truck or reached his gun inside before shooting.

No suspect has been identified in the incident.
