20 PA Companies Make New Fortune 500 List

The annual report released Monday is based on the most recent fiscal year filings.

Fortune Magazine has announced its exclusive 500 list for the 2015 fiscal year, and Pennsylvania remains highly competitive, with 20 businesses on the list.

WalMart led the overall list, but Chesterbrook-based Ameri-Source Bergen came in 12th overall, boasting a $135,962 million year in 2015.

The Monday release of information marked the 62nd annual list, Fortune said. The 500 companies named make up two-thirds of the United States’ Gross Domestic Product, the company said.

According to the company’s methodology, businesses are ranked based on total revenues for their respective fiscal years and file financial statements with a government agency.
