$400,000 In Copper Wire Stolen From Plymouth Twp. Company: Police
On numerous occasions, thieves climbed over perimeter fences and spent hours cutting wire and loading it into trucks, police said.
PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — More than $400,000 in copper wire was stolen over a period of months from a Plymouth Township engineering company, police announced this week. Three people have been arrested and two more remain wanted.
The thefts occurred at Infrasource, located on 1027 Conshohocken Road. Infrasource is immediately adjacent to the recently closed Cleveland Cliffs Steel plant where similar thefts of metal were reported last week, also leading to eight arrests.
Police said suspects broke into Infrasource during the overnight hours, typically by breaking through locked gates and perimeter fences.
