5 Wits, Offering 'Immersive Entertainment,' Sets Opening Date At Plymouth Meeting Mall

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — Just months after the opening of the Legoland Discovery Center, the Plymouth Meeting Mall is getting another big new addition.

5 Wits, an escape room style, interactive entertainment center, has officially announced their opening date as Nov. 4.

“Players at 5 Wits enjoy being part of an adventure, solving puzzles and engaging with challenges,” said Matt DuPlessie, founder and president of The 5 Wits Companies.

The owner of the mall, Preit, said that the new center would be 14,000 square feet. The new offering will be located just across Legoland on the lower level, near the food court.

Here's what the mall says about it:

"Ready for some live-action entertainment? 5 Wits is cutting-edge fun that immerses you in realistic, hands-on adventures. Computer-controlled special effects and physical interaction put you in the center of the action, and will leave you feeling like you’re in a movie or video game."

The mall announced that 5 Wits was coming back in July, but a specific date for the opening had not yet been set.

DuPlessie, an MIT Engineering grad, founded 5 Wits in 2003 after managing several museum and theme park design projects, including Disney World's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
