Multi-Vehicle Crash On PA Turnpike In Montco Leads To Injuries
Lanes have reopened on the Pennsylvania Turnpike after a major accident snarled traffic Tuesday morning.

WHITEMARSH, PA — Several vehicles were involved in a major crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Tuesday morning, leading to unknown injuries, according to police and turnpike officials.
The incident occurred at around 9:18 a.m. on I-276 westbound by mile marker 335.2. The crash site is in Whitemarsh Township between the Fort Washington and Norristown interchanges.
Multiple vehicles were overturned and ambulances responded to the scene, officials said.

The crash caused the turnpike to block the right and center lanes for around two hours as they cleared the accident.
Fort Washington Fire Company and Harmonville Fire Company were among the squads to respond to the crash.

Lanes were reopened before noon, though traffic was heavy throughout the morning and lingered long after the accident, motorists said.
