7-Year-Old-Girl Dies After Falling From Truck In Plymouth: DA

Police are investigating. Five children were playing in the neighborhood when the man, a local resident, offered a ride, police said.

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — A 7-year-old girl died after falling from a truck on Tuesday evening in Plymouth Township, and authorities are now investigating, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office announced.

The incident occurred at around 8:36 p.m. on Aug. 22.

The girl and four other neighborhood children were playing outside when the truck's driver, an adult man, offered to give them a ride in the bed of his Isuzu Elf truck, police said.

The children got in the back, but as the truck turned at the intersection of Jolly and Harvard roads, the young girl fell out, police said.

An autopsy by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office found that the child died of blunt impact injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing, but no charges have yet been announced.
