Alderfer's Auctioneers & Appraisers Fine & Decorative Arts Auction to be Held June 30th at 12:00 Noon

Alderfer’s spectacular event, comprising an exquisite sampling of collections, takes place on Thursday, June 30th at 12:00 Noon. Collection highlights include fine artwork, fine jewelry, sterling silver flatware and accoutrements, art pottery, samplers, Tiffany and leaded glass lamps, miniature portraits, sculpture, Persian, Sarouk and Tabriz rugs, Wharton Escherich chairs and fine furniture.
This high-end Auction sparkles with exquisite jewelry featuring his and her 2+ carat diamonds, among other uniquely beautiful jewelry. Following jewelry are Delft pottery, Satsuma pottery and Cloisonne vases. Take special notice of a large, lifetime collection of art pottery featuring Rookwood, Marblehead and large amount of Weller pottery. Not to be missed, a Tiffany Studios leaded glass lamp, adorned with bright, cheerful poppies supported by a bronze base, make this exquisite art glass lamp a breathtaking work of art.
Among the furniture being auctioned are a rare set of 6 Wharton Esherich “Ash chairs” coming from a Wayne, PA estate. Also coming to market, cherished items of the Halford estate, a four generation collection. We are also pleased to feature an attractive offering of hand woven Persian area rugs. The Auction will culminate with a superb collection of fine art, many late 19th, early 20th Century and contemporary Pennsylvania Impressionists including, William Francis Taylor, George Sotter, Paulette Van Roekens, Harry Leith-Ross, Howard Pyle, George A Newman, Fern I Coppedge, and Walter E. Baum.

Preceding the Fine & Decorative Arts Auction, will be our uncatalogued Discovery Art Auction featuring over 250 works of art, selling without reserve. Beginning June 30th, at 9:00 AM the first selection of this Auction will be shared live AND online in our Gallery. This auction has something for every decorative taste and budget. Preview the auction starting Saturday, June 25th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Additional preview continues June 27th – 30th 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and 8:00 AM on the day of the auction. During the Wednesday, June 29th preview, Alderfer’s will be holding Open Valuation Day from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Professionals will be on-hand to evaluate your jewelry, antiques, firearms, militaria, books/ephemera, coins and dolls, limit 2 items per person. Alderfer’s is requesting a $3 donation per item where proceeds benefit Manna on Main Food Pantry.
