Alleged Plymouth Armed Bank Robber Captured, Identified In Norristown
"Very dangerous person," removed from the streets, authorities say.

Thanks to anonymous tips based on surveillance footage, the man suspected of an armed robbery in Plymouth on June 3 was captured in Norristown, according to police reports.
Police arrested Shawn Lasalle Harris, 37, was arrested at his apartment on New Hope Street in Norristown on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Shortly before 4 p.m. on June, Harris allegedly entered the Bank of America on Plymouth Road carrying a semi-automatic pistol, according to the FBI. He then demanded money from the teller with a note.

“We removed what we think is a very dangerous person off the streets,” Plymouth Township police Detective Sgt. Thomas Longo told the Times Herald. “A guy who would just walk into a bank and fire off shots. It couldn’t have worked out any better for us.”
Formal charges are pending.
