PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — The closure of Belvoir Road has begun in Plymouth Township over the protests of residents concerned about additional traffic around the start of the school year.
The shutdown will continue for several months through next spring, with an estimated completion date of April 30, 2027.
The closure will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays, between Johnson Road and north of Plymouth Road.
Utility construction will be completed during working hours.
While the closure ends at 3 p.m., traffic for the nearby middle school and elementary school could still be impacted.
Drivers will be detoured to Ridge Pike, Fairfield Road/Fornance Street, and New Hope Street.
