CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — A vehicle caught fire on the Schuylkill Expressway in Conshohocken Friday morning, slowing traffic throughout the area as the issue was addressed.
The incident occurred before 8:30 a.m. near mile marker right on the Conshohocken curve in the eastbound lanes.
The incident shut down the roadway eastbound for an hour, while the right lane blocked and traffic passing in the right shoulder.
The cause of the fire is not yet clear. No injuries have been reported.
The accident was cleared by around 9:10 a.m., though the right shoulder remained blocked in the eastbound lanes and traffic was still heavy.
