Back to School Books @ Friends Book Sale

Used Book Sale @ the Jeanes Offers Required Reading Titles for Local Students September 20 & 21

Volunteers from the Friends of the William Jeanes Memorial Library are diligently sorting thousands of donated books in preparation for the group’s Fall Book Sale.

Among the mountains of hard- and soft cover volumes are dozens that appear regularly on your child’s school reading lists. Why pay retail when you can purchase gently-used books for $.50 or less! Shop early for the best selections.

  • Saturday, September 20, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Sunday September 21, 1 - 3 p.m.

Sunday offers a Buy the Bag option--fill your grocery bag for $5! This is the perfect opportunity to select books for holiday gift giving--gardening, cooking, self-improvement, crafts, art history, and of course, fiction.

Each sale opens with fresh inventory--nothing is held over from previous sales--and includes adults and children’s titles.

All proceeds support the Friends of the Library, which is a tax exempt, charitable organization that raises funds for enhanced public library services and programs.
