PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — A Montgomery County man who wore a banana suit during a violent and illegal car meetup in Philadelphia in September was arrested Wednesday, according to police and media reports.

Authorities said they took Shane Thomas, 18, into custody at his parent's home in Plymouth Township.

It is not clear why Thomas was wearing the banana costume during the September meetup. Numerous photos from the scene of his arrest Wednesday showed him in a Barstool Sports sweatshirt.
