Shelter officials said Bruce, who injured his leg, will be put to sleep Wednesday night if he is not adopted.

Bruce's injury appears to be an old injury, ACCT Philly said, but it still "doesn't slow him down."

He is described as a laid-back, gentle dog that is a favorite with volunteers.

" He loves to meet new friends (human and dog), and when you go to greet him at his kennel, he sits politely wagging his cute little tail! He walks calmly with you and loves the great outdoors," the shelter said.

Bruce is available at ACCT Philly at 111 W Hunting Park Ave. If you can save his life, please go to the shelter immediately and email adopt@acctphilly.org or lifesaving@acctphilly.org.

Bruce also has a donation page set up by a volunteer at ACCT to help with the costs to get his joint health back in shape. Donate here.
