Latanya (Tanya) Morgan is a Philadelphia based actor, writer, director, certified trauma informed teaching artist, improv performer, acting and improv coach, applied improv corporate trainer and owner/operator of Sawubona Creativity Project(<a href="https://sawubonacreativityproject.org/)." rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">sawubonacreativityproject.org/).</a> Tanya has been acting on stage, in films and commercials for over 20 years. She spent time as a writer and performer on one of the most popular Philly sketch teams, The Rhubarbs. Tanya performs improv comedy monthly with indie improv teams: Daddy Issues, The NCrowd, NYTEShift, No Diggity and Not Yet Rated.

The William Jeanes Library’s Youth Advisory Board is a group of teens in grades 6-12 who create, plan, and host events at the library. They also participate in community service projects and help advise the library on a number of teen-related topics. Each month they have anywhere from 1-3 events, including, teen, children, and family programs.
No invitation is required to become a member of the YAB, just drop in and see what it’s all about!
Monthly meetings are held on the first Friday of the month (unless it falls on a holiday).

Sign up for role in specific songs, or relax and sing-a-long with the audience/ensemble.&nbsp;
Pizza and other refreshments will be served.

Children who have completed 1st through 5th grade are invited to join us at the Library to play chess with other children. We will have some chess sets available, but if you have one at home, please bring it along. Joe Fox, volunteer chess aficionado and retired teacher, will be on hand to help facilitate the program and to open up the hour with a chess puzzle. Mr. Joe has all current background clearances required to volunteer with children, but parents/caregivers are still required to remain in the Library building throughout the duration of the program, and must return to the Community Room promptly at 7:30.
Please note that this program is intended for children who already know how to play chess. It is not an instructional class, but rather an informal gathering to provide young chess players with the opportunity to play with other kids.
Registration is required. Please consider opting in to receive a text reminder about chess club! You will receive ONE text reminder, and your number will not be given to or used by anyone else for any other purpose at any time.
Number of people attending should&nbsp;include the total number of children, but not adults.

Elissa Berardi teaches Tai Chi for Bone Health and Falls Prevention. She is certified as a Tai Chi instructor by the Oriental Fitness Institute of Philadelphia and has taught Tai Chi and Qigong since 2010. She is also certified to teach Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention and Tai Chi for Osteoporosis by the international Tai Chi for Health Institute. In addition, Elissa studied at the Omega Institute in New York, studied and taught at the Won Institute, and has trained with many east and west coast Masters.
