PLYMOUTH-WHITEMARSH, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Education has recently updated its database to include teacher salary data for 2016-17, and several Montgomery County districts came out among the highest-paying in the region.

The average Colonial teacher makes $89,555, data shows.

Lower Merion led the state and Montgomery County with an average salary of $99,253.
