Colonial Ranked 16th Best School District In PA

PLYMOUTH-WHITEMARSH, PA — Colonial has been ranked the 16th best school district in Pennsylvania for 2019-2020.

The ranking was released Monday by data compiler Niche, which analyzes various educational statistics to prepare ratings on both public and private institutions.

Colonial was the third Montgomery County school on the list, trailing only Lower Merion (3rd) and Upper Dublin (14th) and coming in just ahead of North Penn (17th).

Niche gave Colonial an A+ rating overall. It also received A+ letter grades in the following individual categories: Academics, Teachers, College Prep, Health and Safety, and Clubs and Activities.

To arrive at the rankings, Niche looked at data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data, and ratings collected from Niche users. (You can read more about the methodology here.)

The top-ranked school district in Pennsylvania is Tredyffrin-Easttown. You can see the top 100 here.
