CRC Quads Deliver "4 Times for 4x" At Cooper Cup:

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA – April 27 – Conshohocken Rowing Center (CRC) went “4 times for 4x” at Cooper Cup, with each quad medaling in their event, capturing gold for the Women’s Second Varsity Quad and silver for the Women’s Varsity Quad, Men’s Varsity Quad, and Men’s Second Varsity Quad.

This was the second week in a row of a gold performance by the Women’s Second Varsity Quad of Kiyoko Kubach, Madeline Nielson, Elsa Deitz and Eloise Goldfine, winning both their time trial and their final. The quad previously took gold at Mercer Lake Sprints Regatta last week.

Both Varsity Quads won silver in their finals, with Piper Konz, Egypt Strickland, Emiko Kubach, and Graciela Preetam powering the scull for the women, and Graham Kokas, Rowan Arendt, Jackson Stoddard, and Hugo Rowbotham for the men. The quads had taken bronze at Mercer the week before. Also taking silver was the Men’s Second Varsity Quad of John Walish, Grant Goldfine, David Bauml, and Max Niescior.

“CRC High Performance Juniors had a good regatta at Cooper Cup against tough competition. The rowers worked hard and improved and will continue to do so if they keep their work ethic, drive, and focus as they enter the final six weeks of the season,” said CRC Executive Director Craig Hoffman. “Silver can become gold if they remain coachable and strive to be the best.”

The Conshohocken Rowing Center Junior Competitive Race Team is composed of 16 rowers from across the region who were selected for their dedication, achievement, and performance on and off the water. The team is based in Conshohocken under the leadership of CRC executive director Craig Hoffman, head coach Aaron Preetam, and coaches Bill McNabb, Aislinn O’Brien and Evie Holder who collectively bring more than 100 years of rowing expertise and mentorship to the program.
