“Deep Blue Sea” Comes to the Plymouth Meeting Mall

On April 6, teenagers won’t be the only strange and baffling creatures at the .
That afternoon from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., the mall will play host to the Elmwood Park Zoo’s “Deep Blue Sea.” animal exhibit. The free, touchable, interactive display will feature real shark jaws, seashells, and love animals the community is invited to meet up close and personal.
The exhibit is the newest installment of the zoo’s running animal education series. Each month, a team of Elmwood volunteers showcase a new nature theme and bring live animals and artifacts to teach children about the wonders of the wild.

For anyone who misses the exhibit, but still wants a taste of the animal kingdom, the mall invites you to stop by the Elmwood Park Zoo Outpost located on the upper level near Bertucci’s.
The Outpost is a natural history museum complete with exotic artifacts—some touchable—books and animal toys. And if you want to see a dinosaur claw or a mammoth molar, it’s the only game in town.
