Why are you seeking elective office?
Like most Plymouth residents, I appreciate and enjoy the quality of life here. We have an excellent school system; low taxes; beautiful open spaces; best-in-class recreational facilities; and outstanding police, firefighters, EMS, and public services. While there are always opportunities for enhancements, Plymouth is comfortable, vibrant, and safe. If you’ve lived here for a while, it’s easy to take all of this for granted. But I don’t want to take it for granted. I’m committed to our community, and I want to contribute to it.
I want to help ensure that Plymouth Township remains a great place to live, for all of us, for years to come. This means, (1) protecting and preserving the things we love and appreciate about our community, while (2) investing in smart growth that makes sense for Plymouth.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
I believe protecting taxpayers, delivering efficient services, and holding the line on taxes are what you demand of your Council. Plymouth Township’s taxes are among the lowest in Montgomery County, and as your Council representative, I will continue to fight for taxpayers, ensuring that we continue to enjoy outstanding public services, facilities, and infrastructure while keeping our taxes among the lowest in our county.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Over the course of this campaign, in addition to attending numerous community events, I’ve made my way to well over 1,200 doors in the 3rd Ward in an effort to meet—face-to-face—as many neighbors as possible. I’ve knocked the doors of Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and those affiliated with other parties or no party. I’ve asked what they like and appreciate about our township—and what they’d like to see addressed. I’ve listened, learned, and I’ve already been working to help see that the issues shared are being considered.
I believe that Plymouth Township deserves a Councilperson with this level of energy—and this interest in getting to know our residents and understand their needs, concerns, and ideas.
I also believe that our township deserves someone who can manage the important balance between (1) protecting and preserving the things we love and appreciate about our community as it is today, and (2) investing in smart growth that makes sense for Plymouth’s future. Based on my experience and demonstrated skills, I believe that I am uniquely qualified to serve Ward 3 and Plymouth—and deliver these outcomes.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.
Also important are many key issues facing our community. Traffic congestion and the safety of our roads and residential streets where we walk, and where our children ride their bikes is of paramount concern to many residents, especially parents. I will lead efforts to implement traffic mitigation strategies, crack down on cut-throughs that often send out-of-town traffic onto residential streets, and target speeders on our streets.
Our police and emergency services deserve our full support. I will work to ensure that we continue to fully fund and staff our police and first responders, so they have the equipment and training to stay safe, and to protect our community.
I will work to protect our remaining open space, as the current Council has done with Maple Acres Farm, the last working farm in Plymouth.
I’ll work to combat overdevelopment, and the storm water runoff worsened by development—and require developers to improve roads and walkways.
In summary, I’m committed to Plymouth. I’ll protect taxpayers, preserve open space, fully fund our police, combat overdevelopment, and work to keep traffic in check.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I’m a problem-solver. Professionally, I’m a management consultant. I help clients address issues and solve problems. This requires listening skills, leadership, communication, and collaboration. I’m able to assess complex situations, analyze information, think creatively about what’s possible—and then create and execute solutions.
I get things done. When I set my mind to something, I complete it—with pride and attention to detail. I have a successful career, and I’m also a published author; a martial arts 2nd degree black belt; and a former Division 1 college athlete and coach. I know how to set goals and meet them—and I enjoy working with a diversity of people in doing so.
I value relationships. While I am proud of my accomplishments, I treasure my relationships—with my family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
I serve others. Just to name a few recent community contributions, I’ve volunteered locally coaching youth sports; served on a Colonial School District focus group; served as a parent volunteer for numerous school events and activities; and worked as a 2020 poll worker.
The best advice ever shared with me was:
Sometimes it’s more important to be effective, than to be right.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am a lifelong athlete, outdoor enthusiast, and a youth sports advocate. I’d like to help ensure that Plymouth offers an abundance of opportunities for both children and adults to enjoy open space, and best-in-class recreational facilities.
