Forest to Farm to Table

Inexpensive Environmental Programs for Kids at Harriet Wetherill Park

Hey kids, looking for something fun to do?  Parents, looking for something inexpensive to do with the kids?  Thanks to an Environmental Education Grant from the Department of Environmental Protection Plymouth Township Parks & Recreation is offering a $5 half day environmental  workshop at Harriet Wetherill Park.  This workshop is open to any individual or group ages 9-12 years.

This exciting hands-on workshop will be held on Saturday, September 15th from 9am-1pm.  During this educational seminar they will be learning about Forest to Farm to Table.  Participants will investigate and expand their understanding about how nature provides us with food and the complexities of our food system.  They will touch, taste and smell the foods growing at the Harriet Wetherill Park farm.  They will observe the technological and natural resources required to grow food and we will even get a hay wagon tour of a real working farm.  Pack a picnic lunch.
