Fire Battled At Plymouth Meeting Home Overnight

A fire started in the garage and had spread to the home when firefighters arrived.

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — A garage caught fire in Plymouth Meeting overnight, drawing firefighters from several surrounding municipalities to control the blaze.

The incident occurred at a home on the 3000 block of Runnymede Drive at around 3:30 a.m. Friday morning.

The fire had spread to parts of the attached home by the time crews arrived, officials said.

Harmonville Fire Company was assisted by Norriton Fire Engine Company, Norristown Fire Department, and others on the scene.

Swift work from the responding crews limited the damage of the fire.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is not yet clear and remains under investigation.
