GA Sports: Baseball Slams Hun School, 14-3

Pitcher Joe Aiello does it all to lead Patriots.

By the middle of the first inning Tuesday, the scoreboard in Princeton New Jersey read Hun School: 0, Germantown Academy: 4. And that would prove to be all visiting Patriots (11-1) would need, although they tacked on plenty more in a 14-3 win.

The offensive outburst came from all around the team, with seven players picking up at least one RBI. Pitcher Joe Aiello led the team with three runs-batted-in himself, to go along with his five innings of two-run ball. Aiello would strike out three and walk one while allowing just four hits.

Infielder Ryan Dolan continued his strong season for the Patriots, plating two and crossing home twice himself. Junior Robert Flood made the most of his insertion into the eighth spot on the lineup, picking up a pair of RBIs.

Outfielder 'Kip' Schierer also made the most of his opportunities, coming off the bench to pick up a pair of RBIs.

The Patriots next take to the field at home Thursday, when they play Prep Charter at 3:45 p.m.
