GA Sports: Softball Opens Inter-Ac with 12-2 Win over Baldwin

The Germantown Academy softball team (3-1, 1-0) scored four runs in their first inning of Inter-Ac play, and never looked back in a 12-2 rout of the Baldwin School Tuesday.
The Lady Patriots were led by starting Pitcher Olivia Gorman (1-0), who pitched six strong innings to earn the victory. Gorman struck out six batters while walking four and allowed two runs on four hits.
GA racked up fourteen hits and six walks while striking out only three times, hammering Baldwin pitcher Fiona McCanney. The Lady Patriots were led offensively by Amanda Logan, who went 3-3 with four RBIs and a double on the day.
Germantown Academy's Dempsey Cooper also hit a home run, while Brianna Cullen and Mariel Becker each added a double.
The Lady Patriots next take to the field Thursday when they travel to The Hill School for a 3:45 p.m. game.
