Help Someone Stay Warm This Winter: Colonial School District Clothing Drives

As the freezing temperatures arrive, you can donate clothing and other items to help keep people who are struggling warm this winter.

As the freezing temperatures arrive, you can donate clothing and other items to help keep people who are struggling warm this winter. The Plymouth Whitemarsh High School (PW) Spanish Club and the Colonial Middle School (CMS) Student Council are both collecting items through December 19.

CMS Student Council: Winter Clothing Drive

The CMS Student Council clothing drive donations will go directly to Face to Face, a nonprofit organization that serves residents in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. The organization offers food, clothing, medical and legal services, and child care to more than 2,500 needy Philadelphians annually.

Donations needed:

New/gently used winter wear: any apparel that would keep someone warm during the winter

How to donate:

Click here to email Mrs. Penrice, and she will arrange a time to pick up donations from your porch.

PW Spanish Club: Donation Drive 2020

Cold weather items collected by the PW Spanish Club will head to Grace Café, a Philadelphia outreach program that serves neighbors who are homeless or food insecure in Center City Philadelphia. The world language clubs at PW have worked with Grace Café during the winter holidays for several years.

Donations needed:

Blankets, men's jackets, men's pants, scarves, gloves, hats, hand warmers

How to donate:

Drop off your donations on Saturday, December 12 or Saturday, December 19, 2-4 p.m. in the front high school parking lot or click here to email club sponsor Mrs. Geare to arrange a pick up. You can also donate directly to Grace Cafe by clicking here to visit their Amazon Wishlist.
