Homicide By Vehicle Charges Filed In Fatal Montco Crash
The driver was going 47 mph in a 25 mph zone, investigators said.

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — A man is facing criminal charges after a fatal crash in Conshohocken just before Christmas, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office announced Friday.
Craig Coleman, 55, of Philadelphia, was charged with homicide by vehicle and related counts.
The incident occured on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at about 2:08 p.m. on Fayette Street near 7th Avenue.

Coleman was driving his 2020 Toyota Camry at about 47 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone, police said. Investigators added that they found he had been tailgating a Jeep and swerving erratically to get around it in the moments leading up to the incident.
Conshohocken resident Richard Sitek, 82, was crossing Fayette Avenue in his 2001 Buick LeSabre after stopping at the stop sign on 7th Avenue when Coleman slammed into his passenger side, police said.

Sitek was flown to Penn-Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia, where he was pronounced dead from blunt force trauma shortly thereafter at 3:52 p.m.
Coleman was treated for minor injuries at Suburban Hospital and released.
Bail fore Coleman was set at 10 percent of $99,000, and he was prohibited from driving or from contacting the victim's family. Additional charges of speeding, driving without a valid driver's license, and operating a vehicle in a reckless manner were also filed.
A preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 24.
