Breaking: A man was shot while driving on a Montgomery County highway Wednesday night, according to reports.

WHITEMARSH TOWNSHIP, PA -- A man was shot while driving on a Montgomery County highway Wednesday night, according to reports.
The incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night, Jan. 23, on Route 309 in Whitemarsh, NBC Philadelphia reports.
A victim, a 63-year-old man from Mont Clare, was driving his pickup truck near mile marker 3.9 when a box-style maroon sedan, which may have had New Jersey plates, pulled up alongside him and fired, according to CBS.

The victim pulled over at the Fort Washington Interchange and reported the incident. The shot hit him in the arm, and he is expected to recover.
The incident is being investigated as a road rage shooting.
