Man Wearing Earphones Struck By SEPTA Train Survives: Report

The incident reportedly occurred in Abington Tuesday afternoon.

A man was struck by a train in Abington on Tuesday but somehow survived, according to a Philly.com report.

He was struck by the northbound Train 424 on the Warminster Line just after noon near Highland and Mount Caramel Avenue, the report states.

The man has not yet been identified by police but he works for nearby SDS technologies, according to the report.

He was wearing earphones when he was struck, the report states.

He had lacerations and bruised his head but seemed “alert” and was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital, the report states.
