Montco DA's Office Donates Seized Items To SPCA

The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office is helping out animals as best they can.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office is helping out animals as best they can.

They announced on Wednesday that they will donate $3,000 in flea and tick medicines and collars to the Montgomery County SPCA.

The goods, seized during a recent investigation, were delivered to the Conshohocken office of the SPCA on Ridge Pike by K9 Turks and District Attorney Kevin Steele.

The collars and medicines were seized from Pottstown Cash Traders and One Stop Pawn Shop, along with two other pawn shops.

"The owner plead guilty in January to criminal conspiracy and receiving stole property," Steele said in a press release. "Now that they are no longer needed as evidence, we are happy to be able to donate them."

The majority of the items are for use on dogs of all sizes, and about one third of the items are for "Turks' cat friends," as the DA's office put it.
