Montco Woman Imprisoned After Fatal Crash: Report

A Montgomery County woman has been sent to prison for a 2015 crash that led to the death of a 50-year-old motorcyclist.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A Montgomery County woman has been sent to prison for a 2015 crash that led to the death of a 50-year-old motorcyclist.

Abigail Ruppert, 24, of Pennsburg, will spend the next one to two years in state prison for the crash, according to court documents.

The Times Herald reports that the incident occurred just after midnight on Oct. 7, 2015 on Layfield Road in Upper Hanover.

Jonathan Olszta, 50, of Pottstown, was riding a motorcycle when Ruppert struck him with her vehicle, the report states.

Ruppert reportedly apologized in court, saying she was "terribly sorry" for what happened.
