
Montgomery County has announced that it will spray mosquitoes in Plymouth Township next week.
Spraying is scheduled from 8 to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, the county said. The alternate date is Sept. 10.
Multiple mosquitoes with West Nile Virus have been found in the region this summer. Montgomery County said it has worked in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Health Department to spray “where sampling by the Health Department and PADEP has shown mosquitoes that carry the West Nile Virus.”

The spraying will be done by the Montgomery County Health Department using Duet Duel-action Adulticide at a rate of .75 fluid ounces per acre applied with a truck mounted Ultra Low Volume sprayer, the county said.
