New Italian Establishment, Rick's Tavern, To Open Soon In Conshohocken
Owners said they wanted to capture the "community spirit" of the original pizzeria that stood in the location.

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — A new casual Italian eatery made by the owners of local institution Guppy's Good Times will open up in Conshohocken this spring.
The new establishment, Rick's Tavern, will be on 201 W. Seventh Avenue, the former home of Pizza Time Saloon. They're targeting a May opening.
Owners say they'll honor the building's former life by still serving classic Pizza Time pies. They'll also blend in house made pastas, a curated wine and cocktail selection, an updated "Italian accented" brick and wood interior, and large windows to "invite the energy of the Conshohocken streets inside."

Renowned chef Derek Davis, who has cooked at Sonoma, Derek’s, and Kansas City Prime, will lead the kitchen.
“With Rick’s Tavern, we wanted to capture the community spirit of the original Pizza Time Saloon while introducing something entirely fresh for today’s diners,” co-owner Gale Mahoney said in a statement. “Having Chef Derek lead our team is an honor; his ability to create a menu that is both sophisticated and approachable is exactly what will make this the new go-to destination for our neighbors.”
