Norristown Man Attacks Coworker With Pitchfork: Report

It's not yet clear what led to the workplace dispute.

WHITEMARSH, PA -- A Norristown man attacked a coworker with a pitchfork in Whitemarsh last week, according to a report and court documents.

The incident occurred at about 2:23 p.m. on May 21 on the 2000 block of Lilac Lane, documents show.

The Times Herald reports that Jonathan Ortiz-Aparicio of Norristown was working with the victim for a landscaping company when they got into an argument, the report states.

Ortiz-Aparicio ultimately picked up a pitchfork and reportedly slammed the victim in the back of the head with it.

The victim was treated for his injuries at a nearby hospital. Ortiz-Aparicio fled the scene but was arrested about 20 minutes later, the report states.

He faces charges of aggravated and simple assault, according to court documents. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
