Plymouth Meeting Man Airlifted after Chester County Car Crash
Authorities say the man's car struck a utility pole and caught on fire.

Plymouth Meeting resident Richard Thornton, 37, was flown to Paoli Hospital Sunday morning, after police say the car he was driving veered off Route 100 in West Vincent Township and struck a tree and utility pole, Colonial News reports.
Thornton became stuck in the vehicle as a fire started under its hood. However, rescuers were able to contain the flames and extricate Thornton from his car. He was then flown to Paoli for treatment of unspecified industries, according to Colonial News. Police said that Thornton was not wearing his seatbelt when the crash occurred.
State police continue their investigation and are asking any witnesses to call 484-340-3241
