Plymouth Twp Council Recognizes Police Service, Hires New Officer

The governing body commended four officers for 20 years of service.

The Plymouth Township Council acknowledged the hard work of four longstanding members of the police department and welcomed a new officer during the September regular meeting.

Council Chairman Martin Higgins thanked the police officers for their “dedicated service” prior to the recognition ceremony.

Officers Rocco Wack, Andrew Adams, Joseph LaPenta and Mark Solorio received plaques for their 20 years of service to the Plymouth Township Police Department.

“You all do a great job of taking care of our residents and keeping us safe,” Councilwoman Lenore Bruno said.

The governing body also voted unanimously to hire Jeffrey McMahon as the police department’s newest officer. McMahon, who grew up in northeast Philadelphia, had worked for the last 10 years for the Philadelphia Police Department, serving on the tactical squad and as a narcotics officer. McMahon was sworn in during the council meeting.

Albert J. Cinelli Jr. was also sworn in as a Harmonville Fire Police officer.
