The school was ranked 25th in the state and 1,136th nationally in a study which analyzed over 21,000 institutions.

Colonial School District hosts one of Pennsylvania’s premier high schools, according to a new study.

Plymouth Whitemarsh High School was ranked 25th in Pennsylvania in a new list released by U.S. News and World Report.

The annual rankings analyze four key metrics for each school: student-to-teacher ratio, average student proficiency in mathematics, average student proficiency in literature, and college readiness score.

The readiness score judges a school’s AP exams and results. This scale was a boost for Plymouth Whitemarsh, which scored a 37.2, well above the Pennsylvania average.

Plymouth Whitemarsh was also buoyed by a 3.4 proficiency score in mathematics.

The school ranked 1,136th in the nation. Over 21,000 schools from around the United States were included in the report.

The top Bucks County school was New Hope-Solebury High School, which ranked second in the state and 210th nationally.
