Plymouth-Whitmarsh Named 686th Best High School In America

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School has been named among the best institutions in Pennsylvania and across the nation, according to the just released 2026-2027 Best High Schools list.

Plymouth-Whitemarsh ranked third in Montgomery County, 22nd in Pennsylvania, and 686th in the United States, placing it firmly in the nation's upper tier of schools. It's also an improvement over the school's ranking last year, when it placed 872nd nationwide.

That's out of some 27,000 eligible public high schools, meaning Plymouth-Whitemarsh is in about the 98.5th percentile.

The rankings use data from the 2023-2024 school year and were produced with research firm RTI International.

Specifically, they look at six key indicators to develop their scores: college readiness, college curriculum breadth, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, underserved student performance, and graduation rate.
