Police: Three Arrested for Assaulting Man, Stealing iPod and Jewelry
Also took necklaces and watch during robbery in broad daylight.

Plymouth Township Police announced the arrest of three men yesterday, after they say the trio assaulted a man for his iPod and jewelry in broad daylight last Thursday.
According to police, the man had visited the Wawa on Butler Pike in Conshohocken shortly after noon, where he was engaged in conversation by two of the suspects, who he did not know. As the man was walking home on North Lane, the two suspects then caught up with him, and one punched him in the face before ripping two silver necklaces, an iPod, and watch from his person.
The suspects reportedly then fled on foot and entered a white vehicle before driving away.

Although the release does not specify details of the ensuing investigation, detectives were able to identify Jason Scott Birkmire, 32, of Philadelphia; Thomas J. Frizzle, 26, of Upper Darby; and Robert Lindsay Herman, 31, of 101 Karrs Lane, Conshohocken, as suspects. All three were arrested separately over the weekend, the release said.
Court records show that all three suspects have been charged with felony counts of robbery and conspiracy, misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats and reckless endangerment, and related offenses. They are currently in Montgomery County prison in lieu of $10,000 bail, and are scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Sep. 18 at 9:30 a.m. before magisterial district justice Francis J. Bernhardt III.
