Police: 9 Bags of Cocaine Found during Ridge Ave Traffic Stop
Driver charged with intent to distribute.

A 27-year-old Doylestown man is facing drug charges after Plymouth Police say they found cocaine in his vehicle during a traffic stop on Ridge Pike.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, a Plymouth Police officer was on patrol at approximately 4 p.m. on Aug. 16 when he observed a 1997 Jeep Cherokee with expired registration stickers driving eastbound near Chestnut Street.
Upon initiating a traffic stop, the officer determined that the driver, Adrian Duckett, of the 3600 block of Old Easton Road, Doylestown, was driving the vehicle with a suspended license and did not have current vehicle registration. The officer explained to Duckett that the car would have to be towed from the scene, at which point Duckett exited the vehicle and several officers began an inventory search of the Jeep.
According to the report, officers then found a black weight scale in the glove box of the vehicle, and a half-zippered camouflage bag in the rear hatch area that contained eight bags of a substance believed to be cocaine. Upon a further search, officers found an additional bag of cocaine in the vehicle and $501 on Duckett's person, the report said.
Duckett was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance, intent to distribute, operating a vehicle with an expired license, and related charges. According to police, a chemical test later positively identified the substance as cocaine.
