Ridge Pike To Be Impacted By Road Work In Whitemarsh Through July
Gas will be shut off for local residents and PECO crews will need access inside local homes, officials said.
WHITEMARSH TOWNSHIP, PA — A PECO construction project on Ridge Pike in Whitemarsh Township will impact traffic through July, officials said.
The work will take place on Ridge Pike between Joshua Road and Holly Lane from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.
The project involves replacing existing natural gas equipment, and installing a new, more durable underground pipe.

Crews will also need to turn off natural gas service to nearby homes, and PECO contractors will need to enter homes to relight appliances after the connection is reestablished.
"We will need access to the natural gas appliances or equipment in your home so we can perform this work and later that day to restore service and relight any appliances," PECO said in their announcement. "At this time, we will also be relocating any indoor natural gas meters to the exterior of the building to a location that is above-ground and is as close as practical to the existing indoor location."
