Route 73 to be Closed for Water Main Replacement

The weekday closure will be in effect through the beginning of August.

The following was provided to Patch by PennDOT:

Aqua Pennsylvania will close Route 73 (Church Road) weekdays between Bethlehem Pike and Haws Lane in Springfield and Whitemarsh townships, Montgomery County, starting Monday, May 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for water main replacement, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Monday. The weekday closure will be in effect through the beginning of August.

During this operation, Route 73 (Church Road) through traffic will be detoured over Bethlehem Pike and Paper Mill Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

The construction schedule is dependent on the weather.

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
