Saxbys Coffee and Visit Philadelphia Partner to Treat the Greater Philadelphia Area to Free Coffee
Saxbys' cafés will serve free Cold Brew Iced Coffee every Friday in August as part of Visit Philly's Phillyosophy campaign
Saxbys Coffee (Saxbys) and VISIT PHILADELPHIA™ have teamed up to reward Philadelphians and all visitors alike with refreshing (and free!) Cold Brew Iced Coffee. Every Friday in August—all day long—all 11 Philadelphia-area Saxbys cafés will offer a free 12-oz. cold brew to all guests, as part of Visit Philadelphia’s With Love, Philadelphia XOXO ™ marketing campaign.
In fact, Visit Philly and Saxbys share the same With Love “Phillyosophy,” which fueled this very promotion: A revolutionary city deserves a revolutionary coffee.
Thanks to this initiative, guests can grab a Saxbys 12-oz. Cold Brew Iced Coffee for free all five Fridays this August (all they have to do is ask). As an added treat, each coffee will be served in a cobranded, custom-designed cup covered in Philly icons—even Rocky makes an appearance. Saxbys’ five Center City cafés will all participate in this offer, as well as their Haverford, Ardmore, Haddonfield, Lansdale, Plymouth Meeting Mall and Exton Square Mall locations.

Saxbys’ Cold Brew Iced Coffee is a natural fit for this Philly-centric campaign, as it relies on an inventive technique Ben Franklin would approve of. The delicious iced drink uses the cold brew method, which involves steeping coffee grounds in cold filtered water to slowly coax flavor from the beans. The end result? A smooth, sweet sip that guests love—even those that usually live by cream and sugar report they enjoy drinking it black. Bonus: It’s a tasty way to cool down on a hot Friday in August.
Saxbys has made a point to incorporate Philadelphians’ Phillyosophies in each of their cafés in the region with special signage and custom cups. Additionally, images and iconic landmarks of the surrounding community are always used as inspiration throughout the design process to build each custom café. While every café has a distinct look and feel, each Saxbys serves a consistently delicious cold brew that Philadelphia residents and visitors will quickly come to love.
