Schuylkill River Town Program Hosts Community Events All Summer

Kayaking, nature tours, art exhibitions, and more from Conshohocken to Phoenixville

The Schuylkill River Town Program (SRTP), an initiative of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, is in full swing with its summer events in towns from Conshohocken to Phoenixville.

On Saturday July 2nd, SRTP will be joined by Take It Outdoors Adventures for a kayaking excursion in Bridgeport. No experience is necessary, and boats & gear are provided as part of the registration cost. Additional kayaking trips will be held in Mont Clare and Norristown later this summer. On Sunday July 17th, SRTP will be teaming up with a guide from the Schuylkill Canal Association for an Ethnobotany Tour in Phoenixville: an exploration of the historical relationship between plants & people in our river communities.

More information on the river town program can be found at their website, www.schuylkillrivertowns.com, as well as on Facebook at "Schuylkill River Towns".
